When I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, my oncologist wanted me to have a hysterectomy. At that time, I was still hoping to have children, so my doctors agreed to let me do hormone therapy. Megestrol is in pill form, and I took it once daily. The positive side of it is that it worked. I had 5 biopsies in the next 1.5 years, and no traces of cancer can be found now. The negative side is the side effects. It doesn't affect everyone the same way, but I felt constantly hungry. I wasn't able to move around a lot during this treatment so I did put on weight, which I'm still trying to lose 3 years later. Well worth the trade-off though.
