Diagnosis Details: My father was diagnosed with this and throat cancer. The cancer had spread throughout his body ending in his spine and brain. I became the caretaker by taking care of his medications, personal care and anything in between. It was around the clock care as he was ambulatory only in a wheel chair. The cleaning of the feeding tubes, cancer on his neck that had began to protrude was the main points to be watched and cared for. We did have hospice coming in to take any and all vitals each week. The diagnosis was for 6 weeks to live yet he lasted nearly 5 months longer.
