my father in-law take this to help him sleep. He has stage 4+ ALZ and this helps to settle him everynight so he - and most importantly - his caregiver get a good night's sleep.

It is not as effective as when I first started but I am staying on it. It really helps me control my eating throughout the day and keeps me away from the fast food drive throughs.
I am a complusive eater and have found a few things which help me:
1) going public - i told my familiy about my problem and now they help me monitor it like I am not allowed in the kitchen after 9PM
2) removal of trigger foods - for me it's ice cream, we all quit becuase dad can't handle it
3) no serving from the table - this really helps me from picking at dinner after I am already full
4) water - two full glasses several time a day help me regulate
The thought was take a sleeping pill then you will just go to bed vs. grazing before bed and it worked BUT if I woke I would head right for the kitchen. It was like sleep eating. This is a great sleep aid but actually made my CED worse.
