My grandmother was diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer in August of 2007. When she was diagnosed, it was already Stage III and it was affecting her everyday life. The doctor sent an oxygen tank to her house, and ordered her to quit smoking. They started chemotherapy and radiation immediately, and it helped for a while. In early February 2008, she was admitted into the hospital. She spent two weeks in the hospital on oxygen with painkillers. She passed away in March 2008.
